My car went to SMG this morning for the campaign. Told them I have read up on it, and a few people had complaints afterwards. Told them I want none of that nonsense, and they better not damage anything.

Well, dropped the car off at 07:30 and was phoned at 10:00 to say that she is ready for collection. So far so good. Aircon works just fine with all the vents working. No holes or scratches on the panels.

Mine is also booked for tomorrow.

Both were due on my car. Contacted BMW directly, tried the website but they did not respond.

So suggest one needs to contact BMW via phone rather.

I’ve had the battery cable done. Apparently its a cable near the cubby? Can anyone confirm this? E93 V8

i had my blower motor campaign done but since then my drivers side doesnt blow cold when AC on, took it back and got the famous shoulder shrug.
even demisting the windscreen only works on one side.

Hi. What dealership is this? You should name and shame them as I got a bad service from SMG Century City in the past and when I mentioned the name, my issue got handled within 5 days.

Called them up and they booked my vehicle in last week.
They replaced a battery cable, a cable on the aircon somewhere as well as the universal joint on the propshaft.

It has to go back again as they seem to have left a heatshield or something loose and it's vibrating away on idle. They've agreed to check it out this Thursday.

Car went back....doesn't seem to be a heat shield. They came back saying there's a crack in the exhaust system?

Not sure how that's happened.

I need to get under there myself and see what is going on.

So I took my car in for the recall on Tuesday and got it back that afternoon, and the next day(Yesterday) the car battled to start in the morning and the afternoon , it sounded like on first swing that the battery has been drained, So i call them this morning and they say book the car in and if the fault is not theirs I need to pay for the diagnosis even though i explained to them that the car was perfectly fine before they touched it. Not sure what to do now, not in the mood for them to blame something else and worry about their ridiculous prices

A bit frustrating to hear folks having issues after the dealership touches the car.
I was hesitant to take mine through, as I do all the work on it myself and have never had any issues. As soon as someone else touches it.....that's when issues start.

Got mine back, wire replaced but didnt get the free blower motor changed.

Was a good experience with Service at AutoGlen, free coffee and a nice car wash as a bonus.

Took my car Yesterday for both the blower and the battery cable.

After inspection I see the panel below the cubby doesn't align like it did before, I know of one plastic bracket which was broken before the service by my wife.
Now when I had a look i saw another bracket about to break as they tightened it to much.

Also my cubby just fell open when I went to put all the usual stuff back, had a look and saw the cylinder to the right was not connected.
So I connected it myself and now my cubby doesn't want to open, you have to pull it open. Also noticed the whole thing is loose and wonky.

What pathetic service from BMW, every time you take your vehicle in to be fixed it just comes back with other issues.

The issue doesn't seem to be at one specific dealer as I had my car at two separate dealers now and at both there was issues after the service.

Just a thought, don't the cars have a log on which you can see if you had previous issues to get the car started? Because then I would just try and use the log to prove all was fine before if I was you.

The level of workmanship from car dealers these days are just appalling. :skit:

Just to update, mine was booked in at BMW SUPERTECH today. Dropped of the car at 7am, was constanly updated via sms by the service guys. By 12h00 the car was ready washed and waiting for collection.

I also made use of their shuttle service.

Was happy with the service i received. Lets see how everyting goes, overall a good experience.

Also thanks to the members on this forum for creating this thread thats the only way i found about about the recall.

I'm with you on this one, After reading all the bad experiences so far I really don't want to take the E92 for the blower recall :fencelook:
