Well it seems my job here is done.

Great advice and as for underside cleaning... Yoh! Only ever did that once and never again. Its a very messy job and unless you are sealing the underside of the car with some spray on industrial waxes then I see little point other than confusing the technicians at BMW. :rollsmile:

Well I have actually hear of a sealant like spray to use on the underside of the car to keep it looking clean for longer after you have cleaned it, can't remember what is was though :thumbdo:

Not at all, this is a discussion forum and you guys are welcome.
I cannot remember the name of the wax but I recall reading a thread on a GTI forum where a guy sprayed some "Waxoyl" in the arches, underneath and on the exhaust.

I'm 21 years old and my back cannot handle cleaning under arches and lying under cars. So you are a brave fellow!
Once I have grown a bit more and secured some decent premises I will get a lift which will make these things safer and easier.

i have thought of doing this because im sick of getting dirt in my eyes every time i work on my car, but i know its going to be a kak job so i have not done it...

Then when you have done some dirt road driving etc you get home & park on it & it cleans
one would think with all the rain we have her the car would clean itself :rollsmile: but i still get a kg of dirt in my eyes

Try working under a 4x4 thats been used offroad in mud/sand/dirt/etc...
I used to get so much dirt in my eyes when ever I did anything under the pajero..
least you dont have to jack the 4x4 to get the dirt in your eyes... just crawl under to get a face full :rollsmile:

What? I see nothing wrong, thats how I clean my clients cars as well.
Just need to make sure you have a dry cloth ready to mop up the water. :thumbs:
