The OP wants to know about supercharging a 330i if he wanted to buy a 335i and mod it. He would have asked about buying advise for 335i and modding advise.
I know nothing about supercharging but if I have 60 k lying around I would supercharge my 325i without a doubt. If I wanted to go much much faster I would rather just buy an M1/2/3/4/5/6 cause they are faster than 335i's.
Got you to give the op a proper answer so it worked.Gizmo said::facepalm:Dewald Basson said:Suggesting to buy a 335i when asking about supercharging your 330i, is like suggesting buying a game farm because you want install a lapa at your pool. Worst analogy ever!
Why build what u can already buy? You want a 3.0lt on boost then buy one that came like that from the factory. It will certainly be cheaper and less hassle. Aftermarket boost applications are always going to have teething issues and there will always be something that needs work, expect alot of downtime and make sure you have another car as a daily driver as fitting aftermarket boost to your daily is financial suicide.
It was a proper answer...:thinking:Dewald Basson said:Got you to give the op a proper answer so it worked.Gizmo said::facepalm:Dewald Basson said:Suggesting to buy a 335i when asking about supercharging your 330i, is like suggesting buying a game farm because you want install a lapa at your pool. I think the stigma that some attach to owning an X35 engine is completely wrong.individj said:look i love the power that the 335i makes & its easy to make it but i must be honest i haven't heard good stories with regards to maintenance. i know the engine is pretty bulletproof.
