:fencelook:that was my friends car ,it got a history

So tell me more :fencelook:

I am interested to hear... Drove some more today and I can't feel/hear a single funny knock/pull so I don't know...

At this point Family etc. have said "but aren't you worried with an old car about what could have happened to it etc." My answer is always the same... you will never know unless you find one that you have known most of your life... it feels good though so if there was a funny past well, what can you do...

I am super happy with it though... still interested in inside information...:fencelook:

Yeah, you must let us and the new owner know. That way he can know what he is in for, or stuff he needs to look at replacing. Stuff like that is vital when you consider what speeds these cars can achieve. We don't want the suspension falling off mid corner or something...:fencelook:

Now that would be very unfortunate :nonono:

I hope that its not the case...

I found in the papers that I got, the owners before the previous ones details... should maybe give him a call as well... Will be really upsetting if there was some fatal history as it really looks and feels that good, so will be hard to swallow.

Thanks for all the comments guys

Congrats on the new ride, she looks lovely....always been a fan of these cars.

Is the colour not Aegean Blue, from the pics looks to be a bit darker than Avus? Aegean was more popular on the 4 door M3....

You are quite correct about the colour, Thought it was Avus but just checked the paperwork now...

Feel really dumb that I didn't know that...:fencelook:

I expect a few comments for that on the 22nd. Unacceptable :roflol:

The true widow maker ............. tricky as shit. Nearly hit the curb with my mate driving in the damp , coming on the power a bit early She gives that raw feel what the later M's lost.

Long time before an update on my baby, and a few beers and brandy's later

So since purchase, she has cost me a sweet penny (which I suppose is M ownership for you)

I have done the following:

2 x full Service, + recently the fuel filter....
RTAB replaced with OEM
Front Control Arm Bushes OEM
Clutch Master Cylinder overhauled and then subsequently replaced OEM
Slave cylinder replaced OEM...
more recently Beisan Systems VANOS seals and rattle repair kt (thanks to MORANOR and SVG Autoworks)

Tomorrow will see a DECAT, and end of the month some new rear shock mounts (already sitting waiting for fitment) and a rear strut brace from Tarrtech (noticed a small crack in rear shock tower which will be welded up soon)

End of the year bonus has some new EBC disks and pads on order at the moment and full interior refurb...

Pics to follow...

2013 list is building up slowly:

Oil level sensor
Drivetrain oil changes
Front strut brace
CAI
and and and

Sometimes I think I am crazy, but then I drive the thing... :inlove:

Nice work your doing there. If you see cracking in the shock towers you should look at e46 M3 cab RSMs with Z3 reinforcement plates. Another option is Rouge Engineering RSM's. I just ordered a set so can comment more when they arrive.

the brace has the RSM reinforcement built in and does the job even better...
