This was bound to happen... The last fuel increase was supposed to be more substantial than 5c, but with the nation-wide strike, government 'absorbed' most of the increase by eating into its own reserves.

Something has to give somewhere, sadly this time it will be motorists and I doubt any strike action will avert the increase.. There have been early talks of R20 a litre by December :dunnoanymore:

I used to get so worked up about this.... Then I realised that as a minority I can do absolutely sweet fuck all in a one man one vote democracy....

So I started actively seeking out USD work and I am achieving this now by the grace of God.... Frankly speaking I don't give one flying fuck anymore because one gets the government one deserves. The majority of voters believe they deserve the utter incompetence and corruption of the ANC and continue to keep their ineptitude in control of their destiny.... They will be hungry long before me.

Keep voting the same way and expect a different result :eek:mgwaiting:

Its been a while since I got goosebumps :ty:: when someone asked so nicely to see her - :praise::ty:

I sat for 15 mins trying to think how to reply

I must be honest with you and tell you that there is more dust on this car at the moment due to Unforeseen circumstances :blueCry::blueCry:, than there is water in Cape town, and if petrol is that expensive at R20 a litre I will push you can steer :smilebounce::smilebounce:

At the moment she is all looks and no action due to Priority listing :fencelook: - but you Are more than welcome to Meet her if you in Cape Town, Just let me know

But @MikeR, who needs investment when there are plenty of 'no strings attached' loans available? Loans that can even more easily be hidden in ever deeper/greedier pockets?

Been a lot of coverage of this recently... and apparently there is a lot more happening undeclared/unpublicised. Last week, Zambia's power utility was apparently being taken over due to a default on a 'no strings attached' loan... due to the bad press it seems the situation has reversed, if only temporarily. Eskom has just taken 3bn... who knows? Maybe it will be better run?

Learn Mandarin. Whilst we are worrying about colonisation of the past, colonisation of the future is happening. Without greed and corruption, this would actually be great for people of Africa. The reality I suspect will end up quite differently in most cases.

no investment, no future, rand gets dumped on... prices go up.

ZA is just another country run by a liberation party. they are just following the playbook that was written.. line by line

we need a proper public transport system..would solve so many issues

That doesn't help business owners who rely on fuel to run said businesses:thumbdo:
