Hi fanatics,

After almost 7 years, Hmmm, back with M3's... I just bought a nice '04 e46 M3 with low kms and FSH. I have tried e92 few times, loved it, but second hand market was still, for me, over quoted... then by chance cross the way of this one...

Being from europe, we always had opportunities to find great cars, this was my first M, a nice e36 3.2 coupe, I haven t seen so much of coupe in SA by the way...

By looking pics of second hands e46 on the net, papers, I tought that the car didn t get old nicely but as soon as you see it in live.... baaaaaaammmm, this beast is still very sexy. 6 cylinders are as well great to handle, ok this new v8 is brilliant but doesn t provide the nerf a the 6 cyl.

best moment? start a cold engine, give some times, start the ride softly, give some times, push the firsts longer ranges feeling the this ruff power waking up... then if you lucky, nice bend in the road, little bit off grip on back wheel, little push on throttle... ok ok, do I am a fanatics?

sorry for my poor english...

ciao

This was my first M:

Great car, the 6cyl with full inox straight pipes sounds amazing. If I could have choose a 3L I would have but again i was looking for a good car and those where already scary to find with low kms and FSH. Great tourer, many speeding tickets

one more...

The car has been in the hands of Rob Green, beside was + and - I've read about them, this M3 had a stage 1 conversion.

Guys, could you just inform me...

I have a full exhaust system to sell (great shape, photo available), what would be the real value of it?! I did placed it on gumtree, R1000, but seems that I could get more bcz had few phone calls... best bid R1500 ... I saw few post on this website asking more?!

Then, for insurance purposes, they never asked me to show my previous cars (bakkies and 4X4s), this time they want to see it... I didn't mentionned this stage 1 (just exhaust and air intake)... Does anyone had issues when showing cars? Should I put stock exhaust back? Does they check this? Beside some stickers it doesn't look like a sport up gradde...

thanks and ong live to fuel addicts...

ciao

Alex

Ok... I'll post more later, I already had to leave my new toy to get back at work... with a very powerfull land rover defender... :fencelook:

Hello and welcome,

That is indeed a lovely vehicle...
With regards to the insurance, I suggest you disclose upfront that the vehicle has some work done to it.
Insurance will look for any reason to repudiate your claim in the event of an accident.
It may cost a little more on the insurance, but you have piece of mind that you have been honest and disclosed upfront.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Welcome bud, you'll have to relocate to the Western Cape, Limpopo is rotten to the core. Nice well looked after roads here.
