An E46 M3 Motor into an E36

Went to Jarred’s workshop today, to book in my “new” blue 540i for some more work!
Only to find this in the parking area :rollsmile:

Hmmm I am thinking, I’ve got a spare BMW V8 and 5 speed manual I was going to put into the silver E34 auto, but now that Mom and Dad are going to use it, it has to stay an auto.:fencelook:
V8 into a E36 or E30 hmm or a Lotus Super 7 – no scrap last one I won’t fit:biglol:

Do you have any more info, is it running on s54 factory ecu? wiring harness etc?

there is also a track car E36 with S54 here. saw it at last track day, achmat built it. also black. dont know if don maybe found out more on it after I showed him.

hi guys its jarred here:=): that e36 is running a stock dme mss54 with a harness i built from an e46 m3. i included the e46 cluster and some other goodies(all oem items) that make it rev to 8200 hassle free. the sport button works too and its an everyday car. gonna convince the owner to enter her in the speed and sound month end in port elizabeth.

My Mac in Durbs has done a few of these s54 conv on e30s, I also know Carlab in ct does some crazy stuff too currently building an N54 e30 :joy:

yes it is:rollsmile: e46 six spd. e36 3.15 LS diff. 2nd gear gets you up 125km/h. yet to check where the other gears get to but need to find more open road. car is pretty wild and accelerates like a bat outta hell.
