2023 X3 M40i Tuning Views and Guidance

Hey all! Long-time lurker, first-time poster. 👋

I have a G01 LCI X3 M40i. Great car — the best daily I've owned.

I've been toying with the idea of a tune, but I thought it would be good to ask this community of fanatics for guidance.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's tuned an M40i (or another B58) and whether you think voiding the warranty to do so would be plain stupid. 😝

Sidebar: I've found myself eyeing up X3 M Competitions, having originally decided to go for the M40i based on it being a better daily driver (particularly with my wife and kids in mind). I've since read that the LCI Competition's ride is much-improved (albeit still firm). Any views from anyone who's got good experience of both would be appreciated. Whether those views quell my interest or pique it further...

What do you want to achieve from the tune?

This is a car I would just keep as is. One of the very best dailies and G01 is en-route to GOAT status from the mid-size SUVs. Certainly one of my favourites anyway.

If you can make the jump to the X3M Comp do it IMHO. I don't personally understand why people think the M Lites are much better dailies or Ms are MUCH more uncomfortable. I was very tempted to get the X3M C but was even more tempted by not having monthly payments so ended up with the Porsche LOL. Neither the M or M Lite are 'real' sports-car levels of uncomfortable and both can be dailied. That's the whole point of buying a BMW (or many Porsches) IMHO.

Either way, nice decisions to have
