Hi guys
I need help, first off I'm a rookie and have no idea about motor and stuff so please bare with me.
Recently I done my 2010 X5 e70 3.0D xDrive ecu mapping. Map was done by Saftrade and I could see a improvement from 9.4l/100 km to 8.2km/100 km. Nice!! When the tune was done they noticed a leak on the boost pipe. Took it to get sorted and ended up reconditioning the turbo also. Saftrade also advised that we do an cat bypass and this was done by quickfit as per referral (this was also bypassed on the mapping side). Quickfit apparently took the dpf off and cleaned it and put it back. Now my question, there is a heavy diesel smell within the car when idling, its so heavy that one can not leave the windows open but you can still smell it when with the windows closed. The mapping was done to try and get better fuel economy, we trying to safe as much money as possible as my wife is not working because she is looking after our autistic daughter. What can be done to get rid off the smell but not make the consumption worst? Like I said .. I'm a newb so please bare with me!
