Have just come back from Mosselbay where i picked up a friends X3 from a secondhand dealer. Arrived home and found the service book, etc., in the leather cover but the owners manual is missing.
Would like to know the size of the fuel tank as well as info about the rest of the car. What should the fuel constumption be travelling at 120kph in 6th gear (it's a manual) Previous owner fitted non-rft's and now my friend needs a spare wheel, where to get it and where to put it? I suggested he gets himself a standard steel 3 series wheel (i have 4 off my E36) and then a tyre to the same circumference as the wheels on the car. Will the E36 wheel fit the X3 (2006 facelift manual with 17 inch 235/55 x 17 tyres)?
Filled up this morning and the consumption worked out at 12,2km/l
(had a very strong wind from ahead most of the time)
Info will be much appreciated!

There you go.

Fuel Capacity 67
Fuel Consumpsion - Highway 5.9
Fuel Consumpsion - Urban 9.6
Consumption Annual Average 7.2
Fuel Type diesel
Fuel Supply edi, turbocharged, intercooled
Acceleration 0-100 Final 10.2
100 to 0 Seconds 0
Quarter Mile Sprint 0

Your fuel consumption seems high. Maybe a service is in order. Whats your mileage? Also you need to reset your consumption.

Also these X3 never came with runflats.

Richard, mileage is 109k km's. Must say had a strong headwind and the road from Mosselbay to Hermanus is quite hilly. Have found with my E39 530d auto that the average to Mosselbay and back is also worse than for example to Johannesburg and back as the road to Joburg is quite level, which makes the average consumption less. Next service for the X3 is in 13 000km.

The consumption figures that you supplied, are they from experience or from the owners manual, as actual figures are normally worse than that claimed by BMW
