Have a 118i that would not start Christmas morning of all days. Fault came back with vanos. Car cranks but does not fire. There is spark. When starting sounds like the timing is out, so definitely vanos replacement needed. :thumbdo:

I have a few question's for you guys if you don't mind.
- Is there anywhere I can purchase a second hand or refurbished unit? A new unit is ridiculously expensive.
- Is there any workshops open at the moment in Cape Town that could assist?
- What should I be paying for this?
- Any help appreciated. I am going to have to get a bank loan to fix this it seems, so if anyone can help me bring down the costs I'd appreciate it!
