1997 Montreal Blue 328i Convertible

This January 1997 build E36 328i convertible belongs to ///Moose and its his latest purchase, he is seriously pedantic about his rides and has instructed me to go through it and sort out a few niggles here and there. So lets get this show on the road!

What a shine! This Montreal blue colour really POPS under my LED lighting!






















Underside has a serious oil leak.

Stage one done, tomorrow will be stage two involving engine degreaser.

Stage two of the cleaning process, removed the X-brace to allow for better access and hit up the underside with prepsol and agitate the stubborn areas with a paintbrush, let it stand for a while so the degreaser can do its job and break up the caked on mess.

Thanks for the update Gizmo, good going so far. That leak has been driving me insane so I'm glad it's in the process of getting sorted.

@Yuben - I have a weakness towards E36ers so I can't turn down a good example when I see one so yes I now have two Cabrio's lol. 1 Orient Blue in manual with 115km and this one.

Stage 2 cleaning complete, prepsol washed off and underside looking way better.


Took the car for a short drive to get the oil temp up, the oil leak is now visible, its coming from the oil filter housing.
