1980 csi

 I'm actually in the same "crying" situation as this lil' fellow.
This is my pride the 1980 csi for the past 6 years brought from Randburg to Durbs. She was fast and very quich that time but now..... and sadly....messed by the Dbn/Phoenix "mechanics specialists". Just fed up with them but it seems that there is sumone in Jacobs (Andre du Plessis) who knows well these Beasts and will bring it back to its glory.
The vehicle is standard condition (no modification or "additives") except the branches & free-flow fitted 2 1/2 year ago by FastCar - actually not impressing quality or performance.
Paint work and clear coat reapplied in 2008 (by my friend and professional Quade Pannelbeaters) just to revive its tone otherwise body is in excellent condition an no rust. Interior re-done - the old leather removed and the seats +door pads done in ice-white loft and the original carpet replaced with black.

Requested - where can I find an LSD for this model ?

Welcome

I have split your post from Andy's thread and created you your own :thumb:

There are a few members who might have some advice for you. Unfortunately I don't know much about the old 6 series. Hope you get it all sorted.

Glad to see you've posted as per our emails if Andre is any thing like his farther you be in good hands. The little work he has done for me I'm very happy with, and when it comes to advice I trust him.

Fordkoppie please correct me if I'm wrong I think you know him better than me. The Andre he's talking about is Andre du Plessis in Pta west (son)

Here are some pics I promised you on email.

Thanks a lot all of you for the appreciation and wishing All the B-merFanatix all the Best and Peace for 2012. Here's another pic taken 4 years ago just after fitting the 17" SSW wheels and tyres. The colour is indeed unique (did not see another like this) - the label says Brazillien Metalic Braun. Regarding the new mechanic (Henry tks a lot for referring to me), the Pretoria Andre d P has a son (also named Andre du Plessis) working in Durbs as a mechanic for Miami Towing-Pannelbeaters. So it will not be necessary to take my 6er to Pta anymore while can be done in Durbs. Same as the Father, the young Andre is very clued up with the 6ers and will attend in Jan' 2012. Keeping the fingers crosed, I'm positive that he will bring the "beast" back to life.
