Cape Town's mixed bag

I want to know what drugs are being consumed there...

Either that or we are indeed in a simulation. GOTY edition of Life 2.0 has just launched in the real world. These guys have bought into a mid-range pay to win tier and just spawned: skipped learning to walk, all the skill tree upgrades, how to talk and even drive... but they have money and cars as their pre-loaded bonuses. Just that they are still figuring out the physics engine and movement controls it seems :ROFLMAO:

I can stop posting these if it's getting repetitive but it's soooo damn funny.

Cpt air is affecting the people.
Both parties are at blame here.
The tards standing in the roads are getting exactly what they deserve and the driver should focus on where the car is heading.

I said a while back that the NY takeovers are slowly morphing into our car scene:

Reckless spinning - check
Sea Cucumbers running in the streets where cars should be driving - check
Kids getting hit by cars - check
Roads and spin pits being set on fire for a greater Social media video - tba
Cars hitting cars - tba
Groups of people fcking up cars and drivers who hit kids or other cars - tba
Shots fired - tba

I want to know what drugs are being consumed there...
They must be sniffing shoes or socks... nothing else makes sense...

You know a scene is dead when you don't feel comfortable taking your wife and kids to events involving said scene. Just like DnD or Magic the Gathering at school - it's all fun and games until your girlfriend asks to come and see what it all involves and you suddenly do years worth of introspection and self-reflection about choices :ROFLMAO:

In the states most car clubs/groups/enthusiasts have started setting themselves apart from these takeovers/drivers by slapping stickers on their rides to make a public statement.
Maybe something the official fanatics can do? I would support it 100% and then finally have a fanatics sticker to slap somewhere.
Something like:

or whatever

Oh don't worry - last December it was literally cheaper to travel overseas than to go to Cape Town. The message is already very clear that we need to take our peasant money elsewhere :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

What is worse is that they don't only do this at gatherings. Remember they drive to and from these events and use public roads.

This morning I spotted a blue E90 330d as I went from the N2 to the R300. Saw him before and he is usually very much in a hurry.

Anyway he is behind me as traffic is bad and usually opens a little just after Van Riebeeck towards old Paarl road. I usually take the old Paarl road offramp. So I move from the far right lane to pass the slow driver in front of me just before Van Riebeeck. (its a cape town thing where people will drive 80km/h in the "fast" lane). Guy in e90 saw it as a race. He went far left, nearly knocking into the car in front of him. He just managed to brake hard enough to avoid hitting the guy then swerved into my lane causing me to brake hard as I was next to him. He then went far right and nearly knocked into the car ahead of him in the far right lane. He knew he wasn't gona make it so went over the yellow lane catching some grass. Not far from that spot I went pass him (I'm still in the middle lane and him in the far right). He must have been doing 40km/h. Probably soiled his pants.

This is why I'm so thankful that I work from home...The amount of morons on the cpt roads is insane.I get very aggravated by the knobs who do 80 in the fast lane and refuse to move over.

Cracked me up coz I know exactly what you're talking about here :ROFLMAO:

If you move slightly faster than the rest of the traffic you're gonna get multiple hits on a "race". They like fckin gremlins just waiting to pounce on faster-moving traffic. I don't stay close to these guys coz they can't drive for shit, if I have the option to slow down and back out I do so (followed by Mr Tiet being super proud coz he just won a solo race).

I'm super chilled overall but the lane hogging here is beyond me and don't you dare bright, hoot or shoot past them, the Karens here is on another level. When we use all the lanes to travel in a decent time to our location we're labeled as reckless drivers, you just can't win here.

Traffic on Cpt roads really does kill any real motivation to get a more racy daily driver. I can't think of anything worse than sitting on the N1 between Plattekloof and the CBD going 20kph in a 335i or bigger :( Which is why I think a lot of these TikTok children then take any bloody gap they can to floor it just to tell themselves the monthly payment was totally worth it :ROFLMAO:

Spot on and well said. I also choose to stay far away from these guys. I have nothing to prove. There is a lot of these Karens in the Somerset West/Strand area. I was on my way home one afternoon and went around one of them. She lost it and started shouting and waving hands. I was like what the F? I mean I wasn't on her @ss or anything. Anyway I don't engage in road rage incidents but I did blow her a kiss. Man she went ballistic. Still shouting as I turned left and she right.

I just do some scenic mountain drives every now and again just to enjoy my car a bit more. Cape town is also crazy with the amount of cameras. I commute regularly between Somerset and Paarl and I use google maps every time cause I have a tendency not to pay attention and ended up getting a bunch of those stupid over 10km/h fines.

Ja, as far as I know Helshoogte is decent for letting your hair down a bit - haven't seen cameras in the twisty bits and frankly - doing that road at 90kph is tons of fun. And then it sounds like most people take the Malmesbury road for flat out speed, which sounds nice, but it's a single carriageway with dirt shoulders. If something goes wrong there at 180kph, it's going to go proper wrong and a traffic cop is the least of your worries then.
