Greetings - So the new wheels are on! OEM 405m 19" rims. had them all 4 refurbished before fitment. Running Pirelli P-Zero's. I also picked up a set of the floating wheel badges from BMW Midrand. Motorplan has also been extended for another year.

Looks amazing man. Glad you finally got the wheels you’ve been after. Remember your search from your F30 days. Well done

Super styling there 😎
(Worth also considering the new TWT X sure insurance that covers rim and tyre damage)

Looks amazing! Best wheel for this car IMO

Thank you! Agreed...someone else said recently their one of the most underrated BMW rims and I couldn't agree more. I personally they are super rad!

Thanks and correct! I eventually settled for a set of reps on the F30. This time I waited and searched until I found an OEM set...was def worth it.
Looks great!

Still missing the 320d by any chance?
Thanks! Different car...but was a fantastic vehicle. I had oodles of fun with it and got attention wherever I went with it even if 'only' a 320d. 😀 That mineral grey is such a great colour.

Thanks! Got wheel cover through my broker, def a must with the 30 and 35 profile tyres. Ride is hard.
Looking great.

Needs to be dropped and spaced and it's money 😎
Thank you! A small drop and spacers will be great, agreed. But motorplan is more important to me and not gonna take off and on. I'm OK with the car as is 😁

How much mileage was on the car when you bought it..when you extend the motorplan, did that include the warranty ?

I did the usual Bimmercode adjustments - stops/start out, door handle lights for reverse, Carplay full screen, window interrupt etc.

Maintenance/repairs
The usual services on going - after the MP expired I took out the BMW My Service Plan and Extended Warranty.
I do oil services in between the normal services.
In 2024 the main coolant tank and main water pump failed - that was replaced under MP.
This year in June, pretty much the rest of the coolant system failed and was replaced at BMW - 5 pipes and connectors, Aux water pump, complete new intake manifold/charge cooler, oil filter housing.
Several door locks fixed by BMW - usual F series issue. Apparenty they now have a revised fix for the issue.
New radiator mesh guard installed.
New battery.
Front new brake pads.
Reas new brake discs and pads.
Brake fluid flush.
Gearbox service at ZF.
PCV replaced as preventative.
December 2024 the car underwent a detail at Izimoto - included Gyeon exterior ceramic for both paint and PPF, leather and glass.
August this year, I removed all the wheels and the bash plate, had the car on my home ramp and did a chassis/wheel well decontamination and clean.
December this year, same as with the 320d - I removed the front seats, shampoo washed the carpets and boot area, cleaned and steamed all the leather, cleaned the subs and then did fresh Gyeon leather shield.
I've also gotten rid of the run flats, now running Michelin PS4's.
Maintenance planned for the next 6 months - shocks, diff service, front upper and lower control arms, powerflex subframe front and rear bush inserts, possibly MMX springs.

I am going to post the pictures of most of the above in a new post below.

And as some of you might have noticed in the pictures above...there has been a colour change... My car was wrapped with Oracal 970 Fir Green, the roof in Oracal 970 Gloss Black and pin striping done with Oracal 970 Municipal Orange - both 10 year life span wraps. The Orafol PPF is still underneath the wrap as well. I subsequently did a full Gyeon PPF/Vinyl ceramic coating on the car and added the Gyeon Glass ceramic coating as well. Why did I choose this colour - I wanted a colour the M140i could not have been ordered in new, I wanted a colour that has motorsport herirage to it, I wanted a colour that pops (the white was never my first choise but was trumped by the spec of the car), I wanted it to be different. The green checked all the boxes for me.

The green and orange is an amazing combo.
Thank you appreciate it. I got handed a colour card stack with soooo many different colours and finishes...gloss, matt, super matt... But I knew I wanted gloss, I was after something that pops...as I mentioned I had a few boxes to tick. I then started playing with a shortlist of colours using gemini. Once I settled on the green, I played with different options on the orange. Must say...I drove myself bonkers with all the options 😂 Kept it simple in the end, stuck to my gut on colours and pulled the trigger. Really I'm super happy and the Oracal product is an excellent quality product. If anyone is keen on a wrap, drop me a PM, I'll put you in to contact with the right people at Orafol.
