My 2nd M Car

Hi Guys

So about a month back I experienced a really bitter sweet moment.
I let go of my beloved Z4MC and got into an M4

I'm sure il regret this decision somewhat as I do believe the Z4M is one of those hidden gem cars that will achieve classic cult hero status a few years from now, by far one of the most fun cars id ever driven.
however , I owned 2 X E86s for over the last 7 years and I wanted to experience something different.

My first choice was a 1M, my heart was set on one even though it just didn't make any financial sense. I literally searched for the last year and enquired , viewed and test drove almost every one that had come up for sale.
but I finally gave up as spending 750k+ (the cheapest one) on a car that was 500k brand new just 10 years ago and had a full respray and comments could not be justified.
cleaner examples were over the R1million mark, also having owned 2 x E87s 10 years back I personally felt the interior albeit with some orange accents and Alcantara felt a bit dated and a 2005 118i would look rather similar . Anyway I soon realized the only way I could ever own a clean straight unmolested example within my budget was to go back in time or sell both my F30 330d and Z4M to generate funds, but even then id own a car that would be seen as collector grade and I would not enjoy it to the fullest.

I then started looking at F87 M2s
But that was short lived as S55 comp models were and are still going for strong money.

So introducing my M4 Coupe-DCT non competition.
really did want a comp, but this particular example only had 38000km , was bone stock and clean as a whistle, no prior paint work or comments, also had all the extras I wanted, Carbon roof, connected drive, electric seats, Harmon Kardon, comfort excess, full carbon interior trim ,rear view camera etc..

After Just 2 days of ownership the Pre LCI tail lights already irked me, it was also one of the first mods I did on my F30 330d so I sourced a set of new Vland OLED GTS tails and it gave me the opportunity to DIY which I always enjoy. I also got me a set of new OEM gloss black fender trims which I installed this weekend.
Also did some bimmercoding and enabled video in motion and closing mirrors on lock etc.

Planned future Mods Insha-Allah
- OEM 666m Comp Wheels
- Full M Performance kit , Splitter, side skirts, diffuser, spoiler etc.

Thoughts so far
I already added 10% to the existing mileage with a trip to Ballito over the long weekend which gave me a chance to get acquainted with it , the S55 paired to a DCT box is an absolute Peach, going fast is effortless and there is hardly any body roll for a somewhat large, heavy car , makes an excellent comfortable long distance cruiser and is quite fun if you wana be a bit naughty around the twistys, Plan on looking after and enjoying it for the next couple of years IA before I get another itch.

Congrats man! You are going to love the power delivery.
You definitely going to miss the Z. I constantly find myself looking for a white Z4M Coupe. Such a special car.

When you told me you’ve bought the M4 over a 1M I thought it was a great choice. It just makes sense.

Great buy and Congratulations!

Also consider the 763Ms or 513Ms (18s and will need lowering and spacing to complete the look)
