BMW F40 M135i

Hallo Everyone

As per my previous thread I traded the F40 128ti for this incredible machine, and I must say, there is just no comparison between the 128ti and the M135i, the drive is a lot more comfortable as the 128ti suspension felt very stiff and you could feel every bump in the road and that is with 18" wheels, the M135i has 19" wheels so lower profile rubber but so much more comfortable, the power delivery is smooth and it gets out the gate pretty quick.

It is fully loaded with Harmon/Kardon surround sound, Parking assist, Drive assist, electric seats with memory for driver side, head up display etc.

the day I picked her up20220701_145747.jpg20220701_145756.jpg

Thanks to @FiRi@Rennzport I got a nice spoiler and just had to fit it right away

Congrats! an awesome car indeed, just intrigued about your comparison on the ride quality between the 128ti and 135, is this possibly due to the 135 being xdrive?

Howzit bud,

It could be as the 128ti might be stiffer to get the power to the ground through the front wheels, but there is definitely a huge difference in ride quality

Just a small update, car has been treating me well and is a dream to drive, there is a slight rattle sound under moderate to hard acceleration coming from right hand engine side, almost sound like the tension pulley jumping or actuator malfunctioning, but after some research on the web, it seams like the F44 M235i xdrive and the F40 M135i xdrive all have the same sound and it goes away after 5000km, not to sure about that, but BMW also says it is normal.

But after that I decided to fit some sills to the car and it looks great

Hallo All

So I did some more cosmetic changes and I do think the car is coming along nicely now

First I added some paddle shift extensions, thought off blue as the ambient light is mostly on blue, but then at night when you see the ambient light effect the most then you can really see the color of the paddle shift extensions, maybe should have gone for silver, but it is growing on me.

Then I just had to add the m style mirror covers, for the life of me I do not know why it doesn't come out with them in the first place.

Hallo All

Been a while and have not really done anything to my car, because motorplan lol
The OEM tailpieces didn't do it for me anymore so I measure the stock exhaust and found some nice M perf tail pieces

But after I removed the OEM tail pieces I found that BMW thought it will be nice to widen the exhaust from 63mm to 80mm OD where the tail pieces fit, and all Mperf tailpieces come in either 63 or 70mm, nothing bigger, not even BMW has bigger ones.

So I decided to send the stock tailpieces for some gloss black powder coating, as the aluminium colour just gets messy so quickly
I got them back today and they look amazing

And on the car it fits nicely with all the other gloss black pieces
