2015 F30 320i M Sport Timing Chain & Oil pump chain

I've been hearing some funny noises on my F30 with N20 engine, I did a lot of research on this and I'm 100 that the issue is related to timing chain(maybe oil pump chain as well). There's a lot of topics in here that covers this problem. If there's someone who had this problem and has fixed it, please let us know how you got it fixed and recommend good repair shops around Gauteng

I would say Tune Tech although they're on the higher end pricing-wise. However the list of things they replace doing this job is quite comprehensive. At least you've caught this early, once the chain or the guides give out, the costs are truly eyewatering....

I ended up using a guy I was referred to by a friend. I was not entirely happy with his service but he did replace them with 4k labor

I know its been a while, but I was just wondering if you did manage to fix the problem. I have the exact same problem on my F30 and am looking for someone who can do it quicker. Ross Duncan in Midrand can only take the car end of August.

I was not happy with how he operates and I'm not sure if I want anyone to go through that. However, he did a great job replacing both the timing chain and the oil pump chain. The car was on 150000km when he did the replacement, it's now on 250000k and still going strong

I bought the parts at Golwagen, he charged me R4k for labour.

I ended up buying a second-hand engine, it was quicker and more economical than rebuilding the engine.
I recommend TuneTech as stated above, they are the ones that advised that an engine replacement is the best. If your car is not too far gone and all it needs is the timing chain and accesories replaced it will cost around 40k.
