Xenon question

Seems like my one Headlight has checked out. It flickers a split second and dies and then I get the adaptive headlight warning on the dash. Brights on that light also dead and the adaptive function stops (which is apparently normal if one goes out).

I just actually want to make sure that the correct bulb on a 2010 Lci e92 325i is indeed the D1S Xenon and Philips / Bosch are OE suppliers? Because no way in hell am I paying BMW the R4k+ per bulb.

Looks like I'm in for about R2k-2.5k for a set, installed, but before I spend the cash just wanted to make sure of the bulb (I'm not doing the install myself as I don't have a trolley jack.

I pay around R300 for a D1S bulb in Durban..

You don't need a trolley jack to replace the bulbs, you can do it from the engine bay.

Would strongly recommend the above-mentioned 45w LED replacements from @FiRi@Rennzport which I found to be a massive improvement over my previous Phillips xenon bulbs.

I've also moved over to the LED on my Enyntie....
Lights up much better and so far lasting over 2 years. The cheaper Xenons bulbs dont last, if you are going Xenons again. Rather buy the Osram/Phillips

Also pay attention to the temperature/kelvin reading of the bulbs you purchase as they may affect on the road lighting especially in the rain, Oem bulbs are generally 4300k

Are these different options for the projector-style/Xenon headlights on E90?
What would the replacement bulbs cost for the non-xenon e90?
