I am looking to buy an M2 comp F87 but I’m open to suggestion. What’s your thoughts?

My thoughts and suggestions are that you rather buy an M8, its a far superior car in every aspect.

When deciding on cars, the following needs to be factored in:

• Budget
• What you look for in a car (Practicality, Speed, Power, Etc).
• Brand New or Pre Owned,
• Future plans (Tuning, Garage Queen, Track, etc)

The F87 M2 C is a brilliant car. They are currently in the R800k to R1 Million price range now. They handle quite well, really fun to drive and plenty of power. However for that price, I would go for an F80 M3 Comp LCI 2 as they are more practical and also around the same price. But with that said, I would pick an F87 M2 C over an F82 all day everyday. I just find the F82 M4 to be a bit too bulky to my liking for a coupe.

Another good option would be the G20 M340i or a G42 M240i around that price range. You'll have something newer, more reliable and plenty of warranty and service plan left as opposed to the others.

There are others outside the BMW stable that you can consider within that price range such as the Audi 8V2 RS3, TTRS, older entry level porsches, A45s. C63s, etc.

Then along with the F8X cars, there's also others like the M6 and F10 M5 which are quite affordable, however maintenance won't be a joke on those.
