Hi All!
For starters, I know it may have come as a shock to most of you when I put the M6 up for sale and to those Fanatics who know me personally or are reading this now, an even bigger shock when I mentioned that the 335i was also gone... :tiptoe:
But first, lets rewind to about 6 or so months ago.. The 1st M2s had just hit our shores and they were getting pretty rave reviews from the US and UK journos. So naturally, I was intrigued and genuinely interested in getting one (in BSM :grin
. However, at the back of my mind I expected this would happen, ALL M2s that landed were allocated (naturally) but the one's allocated to dealers were marked so high at the time, honestly just wasn't worth it IMO. So I shelved the idea till next year...
Fast forward a few months, BMW SA hits us with a curve ball, they send out word that a new, 40 unit limited production, "Pure Edition" will be released only to the SA market with minimal options at a price point that would actually warrant buying an M4.. Yes the accountant in me was liking this A LOT..:rollsmile:
I didn't really care about the chatter going on about these cars but for some reason, at this point in time, I actually didn't consider buying one.
Fast forward to a month ago, my bro gets engaged and wedding planning starts for next year... my M6 is now put up for sale, my 1st M car will be gone soon... After some thought about how to get into another M car, affordably and comfortably, my mind immediately recalls a certain "Pure Edition" that most know nothing about. Inquired at my dealer and lo and behold, they have just ONE allocated to them in Black Sapphire Metallic, my favourite colour of all time, not allocated to a buyer either :rollsmile: then I knew, it just had to be mine and as they say: the rest is history... :tiptoe:

Its an M4 DCT
Interior: Trim is Aluminiuim Blade with Chrome Black lines. Seats are manually adjustable Half Leather, Half Carbon Structure Cloth. (I'm sure there's some weight savings here :grin: ) and is equipped with the latest iDrive 5.0 with Connected Drive Service Pack.
Exterior: Black 19" wheels and Shadowline.
(PDC, reverse camera & some storage compartments were removed. And the only other options that could have been chosen are LED Headlights)
So without further ado... Apologies for the long write up... But here she is... :rollsmile::rollsmile::rollsmile:
Plans for the moment: get it down low in the form of H&R Sport (I feel this is low enough, SS may be too low for future plans) and a full black out of all exterior chrome trim and badges! :rollsmile:
