Quick one for all the X owners.
F15 X5, Will installing non-runflats on the this van Mess-up the Transfer case?

BMW quoted 20k for Run-Flats which i do not think is that bad.
Just checking If there is anyone With more info.

Thanks in advance

Do a search on the forum, I recall there was a thread or 2 on this in the past. But long story short, no it won't have a negative effect on the TC, BUT, it must be the same tyres on all 4 corners with the same tread depth. I had non-runflats on my old E70 X5 without any issues.

can be different sizes front to rear, but within 1% max tolerance

and tyres across axles need to be the same.

best to maintain the stock tyre specs, changing to Non RFT should not have any effect.

that said, at X5 tyre sizes, there isn't much price difference between RFT and Non-RFT, shop around.

Correct, if you have the staggered setup.

If the price is almost the same, why not fit the rft's. The new generation of rft's are on par with comfort i believe.
