And a master power solenoid installation:

Please educate the noob here. What does this switch do?
The GTR is racing at Killarney this weekend in the Sports and GT series, which is part of the Regional Power Series. The Series is MSA accredited. If you wish to race a car in any MSA accredited event, the car must meet the MSA minimum standards. One of these is a complete electrical power cut from switching positions both inside and outside the vehicle. Your options are those very nice red T-Bars as manual isolators or a switch activated solenoid.

As this remains a road car for me I decided on a switch activated solenoid to created the electrical power cut. The external switch must be easily accessible by a Marshall and visible. The switch we used is a Stainless Steel switch body with high quality posts and a weatherproof rubber cover (looks like a nipple when installed). We put it at the base of the windscreen as it is out of the airflow off the bonnet, is visible, reachable and complies with the regulations.

I am thinking about turning up a nice aluminum cover that will screw over the switch for periods when I am not racing the car... so that I can keep it out of easy reach of some people with itchy fingers... Namely my daughters. It will then simply look like a black post on the trim under the windscreen.

Hope that clarifies the switch position ;-)

At the recent Dezzi Invitational we managed to improve our time from last year by a might 6 seconds and we ended up in 11th for the event.

Soon to come will be some weight loss and suspension upgrades!
