N55 Coils

Hi Guys

I need to replace coils on my N55 and looking for some advice.

Has anyone used N54 coils on N55? The current coils are Delphi part number 12138616153, is there any other make that have been used and tested that do not give issues? The car is modded therefore something to cater for the extra boost compared to stock.

The are a few aftermarket products currently. Okada plasma direct, BavAuto Performance Coils, Audi R8 coils, S55 coils.
I haven't seen a decent gains so far but then again I haven't been keeping up with the n54 platform lately.

I would rather invest the extra cash elsewhere and stick with the stock set.

Thanks bud, my car is a N55 though.

Do you know if the new Eldor coils used in the N54 would work on the N55?

Do you know if the new Eldor coils used in the N54 would work on the N55?

They both use the same coils....steal one from your bru :roflol:
