What is the implication of taking back a pair of new rims after you have used them?

Did you get a full refund? Did you have to prove that something was wrong?

did the wheels balance fine on the machines? or did they have a vibration that no amount of balancing could eliminate?

The said it balanced on the machines. But when driving still had the vibration issue.

I did get a full refund in theory, they were hesitant at first saying it must be unbalanced because of tyres blah blah, i decided to buy new tyres as the fronts would need replacing soon, they subtracted the price of the wheels from the tyres and I paid the difference. They did mention that another set of reps what brought back that week as well. No bad out of 30 sets. Thus why they didn't argue too much. Btw this was supaquick Benoni, I think they are professional and they will be bringing in new sets next year, they focus on offsets for BMW's. Either way, glad to have the car back to normal. My thoughts are that if it was working before and you changed something, and it doesnt work. Whatever you changed is the issue.

Did you physically look at them balancing the wheels? It's the only way you can tell if it's the wheel or tyre. Don't trust someones word. I would bet one of the tyres are out of round.

Edit, even new ones should be checked.
