My NEW very old girl.

Bought this from a friend of mine a while ago. Still need to do a few things but I must say she's in great shape for her age. Only 122k km on clock. To say the least, I'm so in love with this old lady that I drive her almost all the time. Not the oomph of my other wheels but overall a great ride.

A few images.

122 k km wtf, must say the way the car feel it might be all true. Was a farmers wifes car in Bedford, 60km from me. The best part of the car to me is the condition of the seats and the glass. Not even one tear on the seats. I was looking for an old e30 shell for a project. When I saw this I decided to go for the e34.

It's your car... Change it how you want it to be...

It's interesting that it's a cloth interior. Then I remembered that leather back then was an option on the 525i but standard on 535i. My dad had a 1990 silver 525i and then followed it with a 1994 525i which was the Vanos engine I think.

My dad's view was that the build quality of the 1990 model was better than the 1994 model. Subjective I guess but I agree with his observations.

Enjoy your "barn find" she really looks mint.

The better wheels made a big difference. Even with these low profiles the ride is still better than my e46. Just need to lower the front end as it's for some odd reason to high.

Awesome find there, also very rare with cloth seats. E34s are amonst the best beemers

Will it be a big sin to the purist if I change the bottom Black to white!
I'm not a purist but I would leave it black, the white will show off more dirt, if ever you thinking of selling let me know.

Congrats, what an epic find!

The E32, E34 and E36 are the platforms that made me fall in love with the BMW brand, as my older brother had all of these and then some. They certainly don't make them like they used to.

I would personally spray the lower trim, as it would work better with the wheels that are on the car and also makes the car stand out a little more, similar to the way the M5 looks..

Awesome car.

Have you thought about finding M5 side skirts, painting them and the lower parts of the front and rear bumpers?

Maybe also find some 540 brake ducts first and then paint the front bumper...

Ahhhh, while sorting out a slow puncture on my left rear, I saw the rear hub have a lot of play. Seams like I need new wheel bearings. Not sure if I will be able to do a DIY on this.
