Hello all,
I don't not really have threads of late, even my M135i... I didn't get down to detailing everything on it much however this one is going to make an appearance (thanks to Charlton) ha ha.
So with having sold the M135i last year and having 2 diesels to use was bliss, fuel consumption was great but the wife's car (The IX35) was approaching 100000km mark and becoming a bit of a nuisance.
It faired very well but it needed a suspension refresh and a new clutch which costs almost 60% of my total M135i ownership bill excluding fuel. This mostly due to astronomical pricing on parts and also availability was a bit low too. The car served its purpose and with the wife now working in Sandton and not CBD any longer she didn't really want to drive an SUV any longer.
So I decided that after 9 years time for a change and have been test driving many cars. Many did not cut it in terms of quality and also ease use... especially since I am doing a lot of activities that require an SUV still because many road conditions have changed a lot as well.
After a good few months of scouting, I am almost signed up on a 30d Xdrive X3 but the condition and feel of the vehicle just didn't sit well.
I was initially against the G01 shape but when I saw this one for sale for a great price and and spec, I decided to test drive it and give it a chance. Many colleagues also have the 20 Xdrive and all are very impressed and happy with it but i think what really got me to change my stance on it was the Adaptive LEDs, it really does give the G01 a 'facelift' for lack of a better phrase as opposed to the normal LEDs.
This one in particular was a one owner, seriously pedantic owner... lady driven (aircon still blows ice cold lol) but also did I mention VERY well taken care of. To a point where it needed no recon from the time it arrived, I checked it many times to spot anything that could need touch ups etc. but besides 5 stonechips on the bonnet and 2 on the bumper, everything else was pretty much in great condition , almost brand new still. Inclusive of the interior door step and boot protection stickers are still even on and the infotainment screen even has a the protection layer on it.
It has a decent list of extras (Taken from specs sheet):
212 Brake System, Country-specific Equipment
22W Double-spoke style 699 M, 20" with mixed tyres
2VG Performance Control
2VL Variable sport steering
300 Emergency spare wheel

3AC Trailer tow hitch, fully electrically operated
3MC BMW Individual roof rails high-gloss Shadow Line
402 Panorama glass sliding/tilting sun roof, electrically operated
431 Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror
481 Sport seats for driver and front passenger
4K7 Interior trim finishers Aluminium Rhombicle with highlight trim fin.Pearl
Chrome
4UR Ambient interior lighting
552 Adaptive LED headlights
5AC High Beam Assist
5DM Parking Assist
609 Navigation System, Professional
688 Harman/kardon Surround Sound System
6AN Concierge Services
6AP Remote Services

704 M Sports Suspension
710 Steering wheel M Leather
715 M Aerodynamic kit
760 BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line
775 Anthracite roof lining
7S9 ConnectedDrive services package
8SX Telematics and Online
Pics below of the car when I viewed and test drove it and on day of delivery. I would have liked to have electric seats with memory and the upgraded cluster however I am more than happy to live without these 2 items and go with something that has been taken care rather. And as luck would have it, the cluster can be retrofitted
P.S. Some of the pics are a bit distorted because I had to drop the size to post them.
