This one ran away with another man just before the wedding. I have a much nicer girl (wife) now.

I forgot about Leftie:

All these cars had their own special place in my heart.
The Beetle was a complete rebuild. I started when I was in Matric, so it was a labour of love.

The Conquest? Hmm, not much.

The RSI I loved. Really enjoyed driving that car.

Then comes my pride. The Evo2. Oh man, she was exceptional.

The 318ti? Hmm, no comment

The e46 328. Eish, what a car. So comfortable, end even economical. Had some fun on the backset as well. (Oops, I said that out loud.)

The e46 320i. Metallic black, black interior, brushed alluminium, sportpack, eish.. a babe magnet.

The Subaru. Hmm, No comment.

The Mitsubishi. I miss that bakkie. i still do.

The GTI. In between all the bitching and moaning, well, there's more bitching and moaning. Not my best choice in life.

Dare I even start on the e36?

Old Leftie, the 1971 2002 ti lhd. Aww, ain't she just awesome.

And then the e34 M5 (pics missing in action). Ah man, what a bullet.

Very nice collection. I would like to get my hands on a nice Evo 2, but the running costs are a bit steep.

nice, I love the way you lounge on your cars :hammerhead:

Only the Conquest.

@Nic_S: The Evo2 was a beauty. Had a factory fitted Alpina Stage 2 chip conversion with a powerflow exhaust. Put your foot down and you get a shunt in the back, slap in the face, nostral flaring aceleration, all at the same time.

I did about 27 000km with this car in the year and a bit I had her, and besides two services, I only replaced the manifold gasket and the speedo sensor on the diff.

The one thing that this car did extremely well, was go sideways. I remember turning right onto Durbanroad on evening, and putting the hammer down. The ass stepped out, and i went sideways, up Durbanroad at nearly opposite lock..

My other TLGP story. One night we were heading home from a restaurant outing with my folks. I was in no particular hurry, and my brother was driving a 100m or so ahead of me. He had a 1990 Evo1. So he is sitting at the robot, and this Honda DOCH 16 V pulls up, revving and engaging like crazy. I, in the meantime, crept up behind the Honda, unnoticed, and revved the BMW. the guy checked his rearview mirror, saw the white beast, and slowly sank away in his seat. we ate him!!

The other memorable race was against an Opel Superboss, down Bill Bezuidenhoudt. The guy was ahead at the robots and I fell in behind him. Sitting at 5500 rpm in second, toying with my toe on the accelarator, this Opel was backfiring and smoking up a storm, trying to pull away. I gave that car a hiding second to none.

The cars I miss the most.

My Evo2
My 328
My Mitsubishi Double cab
and the RSI

I would love to own a nice 325is one day soon. Not a daily drive, not a race car. A showpiece.

Now you're just lying through your teeth, Jandre. The E46 (including it's backseat) is so small, you can't even have fun with yourself on there... :mmm:

Some very nice rides in the list!!

The frontseats on the 328 exclusive were much more comfy than the frontseats on the 320 sportpack. The rearseat was built for speed, not for comfort hellas.
