hi,

Just a picture thread on my mods and life with my F30.
2014 320D Motorsport Auto.

I bought the car from a really good friend, the car was really well looked after and had some styling mods, but i decided to take it back to stock, then do my own style.

H&R's, did the change over myself during lock down, was fun.

Well done on the mods..

Sorry about the drive-on....car is looking so good with the mods you have done so far.

Hope the damage is not bad at all bud

I tell you what...my discolored grey honey comb around the fog's and the grill drives me mad! I've been thinking of how to get it out to spray it matt black... So well done on your job and the rest of the car looks great. Must ask, what is the clearance with the lip now? I've also got that lip but on standard springs and it has touched the ground once or twice - nothing major but its touched. Hope the damage is not too bad.

Nice subtle mods. The way to go on an F30. What amount of mm drop do the H&R springs give you and how is the ride compared to the stock M-Sport suspension setup?

Looking tops!

more pics of the rear spoiler please...
I have been looking for one for a while now, I even bought one and took it off after a couple of hours coz I didn't the like the look.
OEM is the best looking imo but pricey

Best way is to pop those bits out! And unfortunately, the best / easiest way to get them out is to remove the front bumper.

Ride is looking great! I am also very interested in hearing how the springs are treating you!

hi,

Regarding the minor bumping from a young HAVAL driver. It easily polished out, i have a small dent under the handle, but ill get a paint less dent remover to pop it out when i do another small dent on the rear fender.

To answer the H&R queries:
Super Sport Spring 12 with sport suspension
Front 40mm
Rear 25mm

I have had H&R's on my other cars and loved them.
The ride isn't noticeably "harder", to be honest the drive is very similar, however at high speeds (+ 120 KPH) i notice the car feels more settled and stable.

Regarding the lowness of the car- yes, it is low, yes you have to be careful, yes you will touch.
BUT- being that it isnt my first low car you change your habits.

My only complaint about the whole driving experience that i don't like are the tyres- the Bridgestone potenza's RF are very noisy. Reading the overseas tyre pages it seems a common issue.

After drop (think it dropped a little more once everything was settled)

After you remap, I would like to hear your experience on 10ppm vs 50ppm in terms of performance.

So... next update.

Went to BYM fabrication & Madness Motorsport, got a full exhaust (STRAIGHT PIPE) no back box and down pipe, with software.

Here are some pictures.

Looks great. We need to hear some sound clips @"Technician". Maybe some at idle, stationary various revs and a drive by and a pull away - what you say? When you have the time

It came with the car from the previous owner.
Its not OEM, but the fitment is great.

took it off to paint not to long ago, went back with sikaflex with no issues.
