Finally got around to fitting my HID Fogs this weekend. Looks awesome with the Angels. Thanks very much Kamz for the great service and speedy delivery.

In my rush i forgot to take before and after pics so heres and old pic to see the difference and some day, evening and night pics. If any one wants a full write up ill take some pics of where i fitted the balasts and how to disconnect and fit everything.

Not bad at all. Now you just need the headlights to match.

Where did you mount the ballasts?

Yesterday when i went out for a drive to test the lights i thought how bad would the HID set in the reflector housings really be? Low and behold, right behind me with that thought fresh in my mind a e46 with HID bulbs in reflector housings pulls up behind me. Im seeing my optometrist tomorrow.

When you take the housings off theres just an open hole behind the bumper thats totally sealed off. So no water will get in. The passenger side had a clip that seemed destined for the ballast and i fixed it with the supplied hooks. The drivers side had no fixing points. But had a smooth back surface. Cleaned it, double sided tape. Easy as that.

mmm do the ballasts not get hot while in operation? I would try and secure it a bit better than double sided tape if i were you.

No they don't get as hot as to do anything to the tape. And used two parallel lines of tape so that thing isnt coming off. I also would have loved to use the hooks provided but seeing as barely my hand fits through the fog hole and i don't have the necessary tools to get the last two screws out of the bumper to take it off and fit it against the guard rail like i planned, you compromise and make a plan.

looks good, but why is there not a porsche engine sticking out the back of that beetle?

Hehe, that beetle was my first car. Thats where my love for cars started. Has a nice sound system but rest is original. White with red leather and black carpets. Always loved the fact you can fix that car with a screw driver and some q20. Its still my weekend ride. :)

Thanks jase, now it only needs a tint. Hint hint
