Hi Guys
A very Technical question here, I'm considering purchasing a 2012 E82 120d LCI and need some advise on the N47 engine, I know BMW had the N47 and the revised N47T engine on E series cars and as per my knowledge the N47T was introduced in late 2010.
the N47T is the one i want as the timing chain issues were resolved and they pretty much bullet proof.
the confusing thing for me is even though this particular car has a 2012 build date it still shows me that is has the N47 engine and not the N47T.
for example: all E90s with a 2012 build date will have the N47T but im not sure on the E82?
anyone know why this is the case?
the N47 was pre 2010 with 130kw and timing chain issues, the N47T was the revised version with 135Kw which carried over to early 2012-2015 F series cars.
