diy G01 Spare key programming

I recently purchased a x3 G01 2d Msport .

looking for step by step on how I can get the spare key to work with the vehicle ? Batteries was changed . Tried a couple of things from YouTube that didn’t help.

Not able to get the spare key to lock and unlock vehicle and boot.

Is there no dIY on how to program / sync the wireless key fob to work .

Welcome and congrats on your new X3. Silly question, did the dealer give you the correct spare key? Perhaps remove the actual key from the fob and check if it unlocks the door.

Good question. Didn't try the physical key to unlock the doors. Will try that today.

I was able to get the car to start with the key placed on the side of the steering wheel. Shows up something on the dashboard : vehicle
Key.

Problem is does not seem to be able to open/lock the car etc

Have not tried to swap the battery. As the place a bought from (not a Bmw dealership ) say they replaced the battery
