Picked up my 320d Friday morning.
I had an E90 320i M Sport, car was sluggish as we all know but the suspension made up for all of it. I ordered the F30 without the sport suspension and I must say although the F30 has a very nice drive I miss the solidity you get with the M Sport suspension.
My first impressions:
1. The automatic gearbox is always in the right gear,
2. She moves, faster than my in-laws Merc C350d, I kid you not,
3. Boot is substantially bigger than the E90’s,
4. Way more interior space, especially for the rear passengers,
5. I had to read the manual before I could open the bonnet, you have to pull the lever inside the car twice.
6. The ride is much softer then the E90, probably a combination of newer technology runflats and lack of M Sport suspension,
7. You can set-up playlists on USB without having a iPhone.
8. You can program shortcuts on the radio to iDrive functions, and the buttons are touch sensitive so as you run your fingers across them they tell you what that buttons are programmed to do.
