i don't have any hardware mods besides the cooler.
stock exhaust, stock turbo, stock wheels, stock everything

No specific reason but i also haven't found anyone that got worthwhile gains out of doing it either.

its more an acoustic mod then power

Turbo will spool little bit better, you'll gain a little bit of low down torque, but the main reason to do it is to help get heat away from the turbo quicker thereby prolonging the life of your turbo.

Downpipe was the 2nd mod I did after software when I had my 330d couple years back for the main reason of helping the turbo.

Hey bud sure you can. My car is modded tho. Just letting you know lol.

As for the downpipe. If you read about the prolonged benefits of adding a downpipe i think you will understand. Especially now that the turbo has some strain on it.

on your 330d.....can you recall the gains it made, did you log the car at all during the time you had it? i am curious more so about the power at each interval and what the final numbers were?

Downpipe made a good difference on low down torque on my 330d. Worked well with sw.
