Howdy Guys,

I'm having an issue with my E90.

I got it back from getting a new timing chain kit installed + Exhaust & intake gaskets replaced.

I'm now getting these codes:

1.1. 002A61 Digital Motor Electronics (DME), Valvetronic, adaptation present
1.2. 002B62 Digital Motor Electronics (DME), intake camshaft sensor present
1.3. 002A6B Digital Motor Electronics (DME), Valvetronic, servomotor power limitation present
1.4. 002C6D Digital Motor Electronics (DME), catalytic converter downstream oxygen sensor aging Absent (My Cats have been gutted)

I replaced the camshaft sensor with a FEBI BILSTEIN one but the code still returned + we redid the adaption for the vvt motor. Still comes back.

The car sits in limp mode & makes a really bad loud vibration intake side when trying to accelerate hard or on hills.

Im going to clean and test the Vanos' & then want to see if i should maybe test the vvt motor, just mission to get out.

Let me know if anyone can advise :)

My first thought would be to check if all the connections are clean and plugged in properly. Then check fuses as they probably share a fuse or connection point.

Was software changed at all because when your exhaust was done they would probably have changed software to discount the cats but now it is looking for them again?

Did the VANOS servo motor actually move when you redid the adaptation, you should hear it click at both end stops?

Are the revs solid or is the motor hunting? You mention vibration on intake side, try to find exact location as there is a lot situated around intake which could fail long term if this isn't addressed.

See if there are no leaks at the gaskets, especially the tappet cover gasket as i know that on the six cylinder engines a tappet cover gasket leak causes all kinds of problems and showing vanos solenoid codes. Just my 2c's
