hello guys, most of you know me by now. Im the gentlemen who was lucky enough to have a 318is motorsport as my first baby. And thought i would share my sad day with u :bawling:, this morning I was driving, keeping a correct distance and car infront of me slammed on breaks, when i pressed my breaks, my car slid and basically went into the back of a polo :bawling:

As for the damage, ill be saving up to repair my baby and at the moment i feel like an idiot but guess things happen for a reason.:banghead::dunno:

Will post a photo later on, just sorting out things

While, i've basically cancelled all my holiday plans and taking the money towards fixing the car. Want to replace the break discs and make sure everything is in perfect condition. even if i sit without a car for a few months just aslong as i get it back on the road and looking sexy again:clap:

This is very sad indeed, it is just strange that the ABS didn't kick in, did the e36 come out with ABS?

ABS might have kicked in but I find on my E36 the ABS is very sensitive & sometimes when ABS activates the car feels like its taking longer to stop, Ie I have ended up in the middle of intersections etc..

Sorry man, that just sucks.. but hope you get it back on the road again..

Eina JP. Not nice

At the beginning of this year, my wife had the exact same episode, only difference is that she went into a RunX.

Same thing, same scenario, same result.

Driving in traffic, slowly, woman hits the brakes, and the e36 just ploughs into her.

Wife said she braked, and it felt like the car just skidded forward. Difference is it wasn't raining.

Found it strange, and suspected the ABS, but when I drive it, I can climb on the brakes at any speed/ situation, and the car stops. ABS is working just fine.

Tyres were good as new.

Strange, very strange.

Hey oaks, my sister went to look at my car again and luckily enough its not that much damage, just alot of cosmetics and have to pull the engine straight again. Hopefully then, it will be back driving. I'll only have it back end of January/ early february side tho.:hammerhead:
