Can anyone recommend a great service center in Cape Town for my 320d?

Hey everyone, need to do a 105 000km service on my 2016 320d sport line. Would like someone who really knows their stuff and wont shaft me with a repair I wont need. I'd like to ask about one or two sounds that I hear sometimes that worry me, and just get my service done, brakes looked at, etc. Would really appreciate some good recommendations.

I've heard great stories from Garage 808 in Bellville, not my own experience though, but taking your car to the dealership for a regular oil change and filters is no more expensive than private workshops. You can even fit air filter and micro filter yourself. For suspension parts I usually buy @ Goldwagen/Masterparts and let Tyremart/Supaquick fit them for me.

I always recommend Brilliant Mechanical Workshop in Kenilworth. Been using them for the last 10yrs or so.

Agree, Rolf is great. I don't use them for my servicing (my go-to is Wentzel Motorworks) but have used them many times for other small things and they are always very accommodating.

I can also vouch for Garage808, but I took my car (2017 320d) for its annual oil change to SMG Tygervalley for around R800 less than the quote I was getting from Garage808. Now, you can argue the additional value you might get from Garage808 as similar to a lecture class with few students, your car gets more attention, and that would be your prerogative. I was looking at the financial benefit, things are expensive out here. SMG charged me R1600 for the oil change. Garage808 quoted me R2300 for the same job.

My car is on 38900kms, and once the serious repair items start appearing, I will still ring up Garage808 for a quote. They're proper. They also have a performance arm called Performance808 for all your DPF/EGR deletion and ECU tuning needs.

Can vouch for Garage808. They've been my go-to for nearing 5 years now. Colin, and his wife Adele, do a great job.

Thank you to everyone who recommended me to Garage 808, had an awesome awesome experience. They did a mini inspection while doing my oil service and actually revealed some left over damage from my car getting rear ended back in February. So Im going to be getting in touch with my Insurance company to sort that out. But it was actually really great having them explain each service item and what is the problem, etc.

10/10 recommend.

Not really, my warranty is expired so I figured Id go with a company who offers a little extra on top.
Use Xcede Cape Town - chat to Ashley... search for Xcede Cape Town and see many okes go there and have good service, also some have tested other waters and still ended up at Xcede.

Ok i wondering about that.
Long as RMI approved also
Can confirm Garage808 is RMI approved and will 99% of the time manage the claim for the warranty on your behalf. At least, thats how it worked when I had a warranty long long ago. I think all RMI shops prefer to do it for the customer, because they know the process and usually know what is required to qualify for the claim.
