I must admit, I am not a fan of black kidneys, but it does look good on your red 1er.

Nice car buddy, what paint did you use to black your Kidneys out???

I use a Duco matt black paint, but before spraying first sand down with a 600 or 800 grit yellow sand paper,no primere needed.Got that advice from a guy that works for HI TEC a company that builds replica COBRA'S just outside PE:thumbs:

wow this is insane, way to much work:nonono:.
purchase a can of plastidip spray at builders warehouse was R122, remove grilles, wipe off with a water damp cloth, dry with a micro fiber towel and then you can start coating those grilles. Give it at least 3 coats or till you have the desired effect you after and voila you done.

no sand and no primer required, best off all if you want to go back to the original look you can peal yes peal it right off and you have the original look back:thumbs:

good luck, did mine 2 weekends past, i just love plastidip:inlove:

much easier way to do it:thumbs:
