Got the Fan delete Mod done today, much more engine space now :) also seems to rev easier than it used to.
Will be getting a exhaust fitted next week. Got a TNT 56mm Freeflow, with 2 Boxes and twin 65mm Tail Pieces :)

Yes I know they are a bit dirty, will give them a clean before getting them fitted. The system also is not brand new, was on a friends car before he did other mods..

Fan Delete Mod: Write up/ DIY will follow

Got Exhaust fitted. Sound is better than the STD exhaust. But has some drone between 2000 & 3000 RPM, sounds like a Tazz in my opinion. Think its due to the centre box being completely empty of all insides :) Thinking of fitting my STD front box and keeping the back box cause I love the twin pipes :) and the back box should provide me with a better tone than the complete STD exhaust.
Will one day get full branches & free flow Stainless Steel.. The works.

Here are some Pics of it getting fitted:

The 1st problem, too short. Once my STD exhaust was cut off just in front of the First box. There was this gap left. They put a piece of normal thin diameter pipe in there.

2nd problem, my rear rubber mounts are trashed so the exhaust hang skew (touched the diffuser) They had to force it strait and weld the pipe in place.

Me like all your toys.

Has the 1992 e36 been with you from the beginning? I recall the suspension being pretty high...could not properly spot on the pictures...this gave much room for bigger rims and lowering the car...am i correct? Of course the high stance was ideal for the conditions of the roads in 1992...i rmember the N2 route from Knysna - Durbs was in a hectic state; Oudshoorn was being upgraded...most of the joburg routes were shit...still is...when are they going to finish up the N1/M5???...i noticed the first thing that went up was a toll gate on the N1 north near Pta/after the Witbank turn off...WTF?

Please tell me more about the e36. my memories have faded...:pimp:

yip. My dad ordered it for my mom. Fully speckled it out. Leather, sports wheel, leather gnob, color coded bumpers, fogs , full set of mags, tinted windows, rear window blind, sunroof. For a car this age it still goes well except power to weight sucks. Engine got replace a few years ago by bmw at their cost due to manufacturing fault which caused there to not be enough oil going to the top end eventually seized. After months of fighting they paid for the repairs. What more do you want to know?

15 inch steel wheels with hub caps. I got 15 inch mags. and yip also at the high suspension, like 20cm between the top of the front wheel and the fender and not as much at the back but still high. I expect the road works here to be still another 2 or 3 years.. gona be crazy next year with the world cup and all.

Damn...a 92 with 114k on the clock! That is exceptionally low for a car that age. I remember my first beemer was an e36 316i, sold with 378 000 on the clock, lol! Gosh was it slow....lol!

Andrew you will be glad to know, i spotted an e36 model today...white with wing and in immacculate condition...chatted up the owner and yebo also a 92 model. they are rare as hens teeth...but still attracts attention. mainly the older generation still having the best conditioned ones...it would seem...hey? The one i saw had all original package but the front wheel gap did not seem so high when close to the car.

Twins, the gap was not so bad until i had all the springs replaced. Guess the old ones were worn a bit. its prob not 20cm(was a bit of a exageration) heres a side view:

M_POW I have the Osram silverstars.. Got them from makro but did not notice any difference in them. I want to get the Osram nightbreakers or even better a set of HID xenons. But my lights are badly adjusted so it will blind oncoming drivers. and I cant adjust them due to the adjuster screw missing and a garage trying to adjust them and then epoxying them in place..

Gizmo has a set of BMW BiXenons he can fit into the E36 housing, that way they will have the proper projector lens etc.. Ask him for those if you want better lighting

Its fine, you can tell them I gave it to you. It was sitting in my garden shed for like 7years and was from my 8valve engine, I didn't need it or want it anymore and was taking up too much space.

What it once looked like:
