One of the cardinal rules in building a project car is that wheels come last. This means that you can get the suspension and all the body panels right the way you want it, and then find wheels with the correct offset and size. Unfortunately this often means that you are short of choice on what you can use. For our twin turbo M60 E30 build we decided to break the rules and choose our wheels first and build the car around them. We wanted BIG wheels with lots of rubber, so we decided on 19's with 245 rubber up front and 275 rubber out the back. This on a chassis that was built for 15"s and 205's all-round.

Of course this has ended with us biting off a little more than we expected. We now need to blister the arches to accept the wheels, but from our perspective the wheels make up for the extra work.

Heres a pic of the wheel, on the body, prior to fender modification. Tell us what you think. And btw... that is just a dummy coat to protect the body. This baby is going to be Datona Violet!
