Hi everyone! The name is Sebastian / Sebz and I’m a first-time BMW owner although I’ve had a passion for the brand since the days of Williams F1. I’ve spent the last decade or so of my life in and around Volkswagens though, and recently stepped down as chairman of the VW Club of SA for reasons including the fact that I wanted to start getting more involved with my favourite marque. I work as a motoring journalist for an online publication, but since reading the rules, I don’t know if mentioning the company would be an infringement so I’ll keep my place of employment anonymous.
Anyway, I’ve got my first BMW and the first Bimmer in the family since my dad’s E30 325i and his 318i before that.
Just before lockdown, I bought a car that was almost perfect bar the engine.

I say it’s almost perfect because I wanted an N54 but couldn’t find one with the above specs.
I’ve just had a new clutch fitted at BMW and am now ready to start modding it, so I’ll document that process in a separate thread once I begin. I’m a bit of a stance guy, having slammed every one of my cars I’ve had in the last five or six years, but I love racing and power just as much.
Anyway, let’s try attach some pics here. Looking forward to fraternising with you guys and meeting up on runs and at events when we’re allowed to roam freely again.

And the most recent project that I sold before buying the 135i. A bunch of RS4 parts, some ECS bits, and a healthy level of boost. First car I haven’t missed (yet) though - replacing CVs every two months because of the drive height was getting annoying.
