2007 e90 electrical issue

Please advice ,had a new battery put into my 2007 e90 Bmw 323i,on starting all dashlights stay on ,speedo does not work ,petrol guage erratic, after driving for a while ,the speedo starts to work and after switching the car off and removing the key and restarting everything is back to normal. this only happens after the car has been standing for a while
my alternator was taken out to check and tried an alternator from another vehicle--problem is the same
i would appreciate any advice on what to look for to sort this out ,as diagnostic does not show any faults

Hallo, you might have a faulty battery terminal located in the boot. Check both for corrosion/damage and take it from there. It also might be a connection problem to your cluster.
