Tyre Reviews & Comparisons
How do you drive with peace at heart knowing your tires are not runflats?
I bought a bmw with only one runflat on it. Went and bought myself another rim and tyre for a backup. Much cheeper than putting runflats ons the other 3 mags.

Just received this message, looks like a great deal if you need a new set.[Image: screenshot_20190613-111104_messages_7696344559.jpg]

Possibly a ploy to get you in there and sell you something else YesNo

Well I was quite surprised when they told me that a 275/40R18 rft tyre (Conti) was +-R4100. Cheapest quote I've seen so far.

Will either go with that or Toyo (non rft though)

Did you try Rivonia Tyres ?

No, thanks, will try them. Need to use this excuse to get bigger wheels and tyres in one go Fencelook

RE: Tyre Reviews & Comparisons
I've had Bridgestone Potenza S001 19" runflats on my car for around 10k KM/1 year. As they age, they get terribly loud. For the first 5000KM, they were awesome and quiet, but in the last 5000KM, they get louder and louder by the day. They also appear to get getting harder, but that could be subjective. I've played with the tyre pressure and it makes little difference.

I estimate that the rears still have 50% life left, but contemplating getting rid of them for a set of non-runflats (with a spare of course). The grip is great, but the noise just ruins the ride.

However, the point of this post is that tyre consistency (as they age) is often a factor that does not get considered in many tyre tests and noisy/hard tyres can ruin a perfectly good car, especially if you have to live with it daily. Right now, I'd happily sacrifice some grip (within reasonable limits) for a softer/quieter ride.
