Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
Hi guys,

I bought four rims for my car from a second hand dealer/scammer in Boksburg, had them sent down to me in CPTN and when they arrived there we established that all four were bent and thus irreparable. I was told that only two of these rims needed refurb on the "faces" before purchase and were not buckled at all.

After Wheel Collision CPTN running tests on them it was discovered that ALL 4 rims were f*cked, not just a refurb on the 2 faces which I was told on purchase which is quite normal "rim rash" but structurally finished!

Now when I ask for a refund and eventually had to send them back to this d**s he denies that these are the rims he sold me and the permanent pen marks you see on each rim are not his ........... he says he has a contract with BMW somewhere in JHB that supply him with cars and the rims he sold me came off a 2016 F25 X3 which BMW used as a fleet vehicle so he cannot see them selling this car to them which they used for a fleet vehicle ..... ironically if you look close there is a date stamp on I think two of the rims indicating the date 2016 and time ...... WTF

These typically look like a "stock" markings and I was just wondering if you guys can send on to buddy's in BMW spares at dealerships in JHB who could maybe recognize their own handwriting as portrayed on each rim you see here so as I can nail this f*cker

Sorry about your misfortune.

Recognizing a few letters and numbers by the handwriting is a Longshot, your chances are better to get Hillary for president in 2020.

Dont just trust Wheel Collision Centre - Get a few opinions first, wheels are not "f*cked" from a few buckles. My experience in the industry with WCC has been a joke, I would talk to Mitch at Mag Workshop and even Zaki at Wheelworx first before deeming the wheels a loss.

RE: Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
Or send them back to jhb and have hi-tech mags repair them... Yes they are not cheap but instead of having paper weights, you might just end up with a set of mags u can use

RE: Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
I hear what you are saying however I had a German Engineer at Mag Master first examine them, he actually showed me with the naked eye the buckle on one of them when he took it out the box this d**s sent down to me, because they are "diamond cut" he told me to take them to Wheel Collision who also after inspection confirmed ALL were f*cked and cannot be repaired because of barrel and structural damage, so R10k in the hole.

This is 2 photos as he advertised on OLX of a 2016 F25 X3 in his yard, If I could get the REG number traced someway it may produce the VIN then it will tell the whole story as he will not give me the VIN

Sorry for the misfortune...
I have seen on this forum that members are willing to check something out for another forum member before they make a purchase. So I would suggest that in future if you see something online, come here and check if there is a forum member in the area who can check the product for you before you make a purchase. Not big but it can help...

RE: Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
Are the rims cracked or just buckled, I would also try a few places before I gave up with the repair.

RE: Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
Based on the Wheel Collision report they are structurally irreparable, there are no cracks at all, one has been previously machined and this is what led to this whole unpleasantness with the seller as his claim to fame was that he buys in these vehicles from BMW themselves as scrap under a contract!

I am not in the know on rim repair so maybe you are correct and they "could" be repaired however I am a man with a bit of integrity left so in good mind I would sell them and lose like R5k to someone that knew of the defects and could get them repaired, they are actually flipping nice mags, this arsehole charged me R10k

dunno anymore

You have the number plate of the car. Have cois run the plate. If it was owned by a scrap yard you'll pick it up.

This car does not exist on the motorplan cia, so either plates are fake, or car was a writeoff and then plates changed.

RE: Anybody Recognize The Hand Writing Here
He buys his cars in from a BMW dealer "on contract" as he says ............ that is why he will not give me the VIN number as I am sure with the VIN the whole story from the BMW dealer will materialize proving that the handwriting on the rims are more than likely stock identification marks at that BMW dealer he bought it in from as being a scrapped beamer!
