Fitting a 265/35 R18 tyre to E82
Hi guys.

I did a search before posting this so please don't beat me. I do see this has come up before but nothing that has given me a definite answer.

I have the 261 m rims on my E82 135i. Car does have M sport suspension if that makes a difference.

Can I fit a 265/35 R18 Bridgestone Potenza Semi slick to the rear rims?
These are a spare set of rims and I have an opportunity to purchase these tyres from a friend but I don't want to buy them and go through the hassle of fitting them on the rim, then to the car and they rub badly or something.

Car will not be driven with these every day, maybe once a month or so when taken on a breakfast run etc. I do not track the car.

Thanks guys.

The rear rim on the 261M is 8.5J.

Don't do it. It will be too stretched. Even a 255 will be stretched.

Thank you for that. Says it is not recommended to put 265 on 8.5J max is 255.
