Missing wheel lugs on M135i
I have owned my car for just over 2 months now. I took it for an oil change service last week Saturday. This afternoon I notice that all 4 wheels have one missing lug bolt. Is this standard for these cars? or the dealer ripped me when i went for a service? or someone helped themselves at night?

Weird. Is it maybe the locknut/special nut that you need the 'key' on each wheel? Maybe someone planning on stealing your rims soon?

RE: Missing wheel lugs on M135i
Which one is missing?
The lock nut or just a normal nut?

If the lock nut is missing, the only place other than you that has the key is BMW...so that narrows it down. If one of the other nuts missing, then think long and hard where you left your car over the course of the last time you saw them with all 4 on, where it could have been taken.

Sounds like a good weight saving technique to me. You only really need 1 bolt per wheel anyway. TiptoeTiptoe

RE: Missing wheel lugs on M135i
Nowadays we need trackers for every removal item from the car!

Someone's probaby lost their locknut key, forcefully removed them from their wheels, and decided to replace them with ur normal wheel nuts.

I had this happen to me on my 1 series.
Guys were actually in my yard trying to steal the wheels.
I then replaced with 2 sets of lock nuts , a schlep to remove the wheel , but rather be safe then sorry.

RE: Missing wheel lugs on M135i
Is it possible that you are not noticing the lock nut, as the lock nut is hollowed and may look like a missing stud at a glance?
