Best place and brand of brakes?
I need to have disks and pads done on my 320i and have a first quote of 4300 including sensors, disks and pads from TyreMart

Does anyone have advice? Brand I asked for was ATE

Textar are the OEM pads.

I got my pads and sensor for my E60 from Moranor. R1350 or so for the pads and sensor...

Try some of the forum sponsors.

You can also check Goldwagen or Star Brake and Clutch.

Look for ATE, Fereodo, etc it all depends on your personal preference.

I bought my brake pads and sensors from AutoZone, fitted them myself as they are friekin easy!

so labour = nil, pads came to R470 i think, last year...This was for my 320d

I wouldn't recommend Ferodo at all as it's a very hard compound brake pad, so wear on discs is excessive. Braking performance is also not great.

I can help you with front ones ATE without sensor for R2100 if you want to fit it yourself.
