Yeah they are meant to be....... "Ultra high performance"
I'm running them on my 335i. Quite scary to hear stories like this

Performance is relative. Either way I wouldnt run an M3 or something like that on Falkens...

My daily driver... Sure

Great, I'm only running them on my FBO 335i. I will keep a very close eye on them though
Hopefully the badly damaged one Kimeran saw had a some kind of good reason for the damage.

I would go for the Hankook Ventus V12. Good all round tyre plus traction is great with the Hankook tyre

Falken. - Great life, reasonably quiet, very good grip in the dry. The wet they are rubbish, the DSC always flickering away on my E60.

Hangook is just to expensive for what it is.

Nexen i run them on my E class and a mate on his Giulietta. Superb tyre.

Nope, waaaaay to expensive. Toyo does a much better tyre for cheaper.

RE: Falken and Hankook
I had falkens on my s40 t5 and they were superb. When I fitted the 18's to my Volvo I sold the rims to someone and needed to flog the tyres, sold them to a guy with an e46 325i individual as he had those horrid dunlop sp7000 on his car and was complaining about the noise. When he fitted the falkens he said he feel inlove with the car again.
They are a brilliant budget tyre.

Should be fitting some FK453's from Shaheen (The Wheel Shop) this weekend.

Had the FK453's up front for about a year now, no complaints

RE: Falken and Hankook
I fitted the Falkens yesterday, checked while they were balancing the wheels, and they ran absolutely true. Have had problems in the past with budget tyres (Achilles), which bounced all over the place on the balancing machine. Will report back on the Falkens after a few k's.

That's all they are............Stories LOL

Like the boring "stain" washing powder adverts - every single %$#@! washing powder out there removes stains better than the rest!

The name Hankook attracted my attention, wrote off my first E30 while driving in the rain with these tyres on my car ...

RE: Falken and Hankook
I had Hankook V12 Evos on my S2000. They are not as good as Bridgestones or Michelins which some reviews will have you believe, but they are very good value for money. I even did a track day on that set. However, do compare pricing since they have increased dramatically in price since their stature in the market has improved. I recently just fitted Pilot Sport 4s (overkill yes) to my wife's car because it was under R200 price difference per tyre in that size vs. Hankook.

RE: Falken and Hankook
Falkens have been great so far, drove down to KZN in Dec, through massive rainstorms, and they were perfect, also in the dry, absolutely great, now sorry I spent so much on Michelins

RE: Falken and Hankook
I've got the falkens 912 all round. I am really happy with them. I've done 20k km on them. Other brands I would already be budgeting to replace due to wear. These ones still have alot of life left. I paid R4500 for the set including alignment towards end of 2015. 225/45 17 front 245/40 17 rear.

RE: Falken and Hankook
Got Hankooks on the IX35, first time ever using this tyre and it is REALLY impressive.

This tyre took a beating of over 18kms of off-road, not gravel (never spun once or lost traction the entire time).

In the rain, it was and still is phenomenal in handling and when hitting thsoe huge puddles. I an pretty impressed, will give these a bash when i need to change tyres on the Polo again as well.

Current:
2016 Ice White Hyundai ix35 R2.0 CRDi Elite
2011 Mercedes-Benz C250 CDi BE Avantgarde
2008 Silverbird Grey VW Polo 1.4i Trendline

Gone but never forgotten:
2010 Titanium Silver BMW 320d Exclusive E90 LCi
2008 Stratosgrau Stratos Grey BMW 320i Individual E90

+1

I've recently fitted Hankook Ventus v12 evo2 k120 all round on my e90 330d, and the tyre has been phenomenal thus far. I purchased them.from Errols tyres, where they worked out much cheaper than Bridgestone, Michelin, etc.

The traction control is not working at the moment, and the tyres do a fantastic job of keeping things in check, especially when pressing on. Wet weather performance is definitely above average as the car takes water logged roads in its stride.

They even have built in alignment indicators, which could prove useful.
