Time to change wheels... - Arbee - 09-03-2010 08:42 AM

Hi Guys,

Im getting a bit bored of my car's wheels. I would like to change them to something a bit bigger and as far as possible they will need to be OEM or identical Rep of an OEM. When i say identical rep, i mean a CSL wheel which has the narrow/wide effect to it. Not just a CSL rep that looks like narrows all around.

Well, i would like a CSL wheel but they tend to be pricey but that option will always be open.

So far, these are my 2 choices and please note i am open to other suggestions also. IF you have other suggestions, post up a pic preferably on a e46.

18inch Elipsoids

19inch M3 Reps, narrow/wides

As i said, im open to suggestions so please post them up!!!

Thanks in advance...
Arbee

I'm not a fan of those wheels Jandre. They don't look OEM.

I like the first pic Mr A. Thumbsup2 Depending on what mods you already have, the CSL's need a somewhat modded car already to make them look good.

Jandre, not a fan either of those wheels!

Hellas, no mods to the car. Just want wheels and maybe a slight suspension tweak depending on how the wheels look. Yeah, i like the elipsoids too, they should have been a standard wheel on the e46 individuals!!!

CSL would be the perfect one, its the one i want. I have always liked the CSL wheel on an e46.

I dont hate them too...
Guys, please also take into consideration the colour of my car. Its a dark colour with very minimal chrome bits on it. Infact, i plan to go black on the kidneys and get black tailpipes like the 135i ones. Then the car will have no chrome bits on it as the kidneys and tail pipes are the only chrome bits...

Have you considered the 18" Individual wheel that comes on the e46, looks similar to the e60 Individual wheel. Not sure what its called, its the twin multispoke one. Will keep the oem theme and it is a wicked wheel.

So, elipsoids are winning here!!! Cool, i like the rear elipsoids, kinda like the csl rims which is more deeper that the front.

Im with Hella's on both comments Thumbsup2 plus your car will look insanely good with those rims.

elipsoids

RE: Time to change wheels... - Yulz9081 - 09-03-2010 03:19 PM

CSL rims on the e46 individuals are sooooooooo sexxxxy... Drool

RE: Time to change wheels... - msm - 09-03-2010 03:28 PM

The ellipsoids are cool, but I don't think they would suit the colour of your car (which I think is awesome). I would rather go with the 18" individual that came with the later E46s, as these look much nicer with darker paintwork.
