E46 instrument cluster update
Hi,

Anyone ever heard of or bought anything from these guys:? http://onlineshop.wunschtacho.de/product...6-001.html

I like the look of it and am temped....

Any info would be appreciated

Any clue if this would include a change from the orange light colour?

Also how difficult of an install would this be, I imagine hard...

RE: E46 instrument cluster update
That actually looks pretty good! I presume you would need to strip the entire cluster to replace the graphic.. Hmm

RE: E46 instrument cluster update
Looks really cool.

You'll need the chrome rings and to paint your needles red/orange to get the full ///M3 look.

Nice find.

RE: E46 instrument cluster update
Why don't you just fit a m3 cluster if you want a change?
The multi coloured cluster will look out of place against the rest of the orange back lit dash, like when you fit an aftermarket radio and its bright colours look completely out of place in the orange lit cabin.

Plug and play, the only thing that doesn't work is the oil temp lights that go out as the oil gets warm. Everything else works.

RE: E46 instrument cluster update
How would the cost also compare between the aftermarket and M3 cluster?

RPMs read correctly. You car redlines at the same rpm it did before.

You get a working oil temperature gauge in the swap instead of a useless econo gauge.

RE: E46 instrument cluster update
If you change only the graphic... won't your speed reading be incorrect because the positions of the intervals will be different?... i.e.: 170 on the new dial is actually 140 on the original dial
